Gotten into the trash

Chased the birds

Eaten a greenie

Messed up the pillows on our nicely made bed

And now...

Silly

Carter has been super silly lately. Determined, independent, and silly. I just put him to bed with him wearing his pajama pants on his head like a hat and his pajama tops on his legs. He dressed himself just in case that wasn't clear.

Earlier today he told me he wanted to kick off his shoes and dance all night.

I guess that's why I didn't care what he wore to bed, just as long as he was going to bed.

Here are a few more of his silly antics from a trip to Chick-fil-a,which is the most kid AND parent friendly fast food restaurant ever!

He had been running, jumping, and climbing around and I asked him to be still so I could get a picture.

He said, "how about I just take a nap instead."

Veggie races

I recently learned that Carter will eat almost anything if you challenge him to a race.

He showed off his super fast veggie eating skills recently at Outback. Up for eating were broccoli, snow peas, squash, and carrots.

Still a hit!

Carter continues to enjoy and do well in swim class. Each week they have a theme and this past week was a construction theme.

They wore hard hats and swam after plastic tools. Carter loved it!!

Carter enjoys going underwater now. A huge turnaround from a few weeks ago when Carter screamed during the entire lesson and I ended up soaking wet without getting in the pool (remember the greased pig reference?)

There he is waving on the other side of the pool.

I even convinced Grammiki to come along to see the progress. She had been witness to some unfortunate swim lessons at another location that will remain nameless and wasn't so sure about coming along.
What a relief he continues to do well!

Carter was so proud of his progress.

I'm proud too.

And relieved.

And dry.

Cannon even came along!

We made a family trip to the pool later that afternoon to show his swimming skills to dad. We were there for a little over an hour and Carter swam the entire time. Carter was eager to jump off the side, go underwater and "swim" to Ryan or I. He can't swim too far yet, bit he is working on getting his arms and legs to move together in a productive way. He was having so much fun...he even smiles underwater.

Oh, and how could I forget, he would scream, "cannonball" before he would jump in. In typical Carter fashion, he had the everyone's attention.

Speaking if Cannon, he loved the pool too. He spent the entire time in the water. First splashing and then floating on his back with his head resting on Ryan or my shoulder. He was soooo relaxed. A stark contrast from his big brother.

Blast off!!

Carter is really into rockets-launching rockets in our yard, watching the space shuttle take off on YouTube, playing with his very own spaceshuttle and Alien spacecraft (by the way, the astronaut's name is Bubba) the movie Wall-e, anything having to do with rockets and space.

The other day he made his own rocket out of these cool blocks my friend Joyelle passed on to us a while back. She thought Cannon would enjoy them now that he is crawling, but Carter us having just as much if not more fun.

Carter gave me a tour and let me observe the space mission.

He even made an entrance ramp that folds up into the rocket as the door. Here he is demonstrating "the features.".

I told him I thought his ramp/door was clever. He thinks so too.

And now he is blasting off. He even counts down from 10 in this deep robot sounding voice.

His good friend Jade sent him his very first viewfinder. It doubles as some sort of rocket equipment.
