As a birthday gift for Ryan, I decided to outfit his office with a fresh crop of pictures of the boys. Now that he has two offices, I had even more pictures to come up with. Luckily, I have over 7,000 pictures on my computer. The challenge was narrowing them down.
When Carter was a little over two years old, he played dress up in his doctor outfit. Of course, I had my camera ready, and posted this entry. We received an adorable outfit for Knox from our friends and Ryan wanted to be sure that he had photos of him. That left Cannon, I needed some of him too. I don't want to give him any reason to pull the middle child card when he is older. Luckily, Cannon came through too. He came in wearing a knight helment and a stethoscope (all his idea) ready to "examine" baby Knox. Those pictures are here.
But now on to Knox. He was much more still than Carter or Cannon.

4 weeks old today!

Baby Knox is four weeks old today! I'm not sure how much he weighs, but he feels a lot heavier than he did two weeks ago. He loves to sleep more during the daytime than he does at night. But, we are working on that. He's beginning to enjoy a bath more, and is staying awake for longer periods of time during the day. There's not much time to rest when you're the third child as we've been on the go for basketball games, Valentines parties, and trips to the park. Luckily, so far, he's a great traveler. His big brothers are doing well. They love to help. Knox came to Carter's Valentine's party yesterday. Carter was so proud to show off his little brother. It was also fun to see how excited his friends were that Carter had a new baby brother. Mom did fine too, she just told the kids not to touch the baby. :-). Carter also loves to hold Knox. Canon is very enthusiastic about his little brother. He cheers and claps when Knox is awake, and last to give him kisses when he's asleep. Canon always asks if he can pet Knox like a puppy dog.

Welcome Knox!
We finally met Knox at 3:43 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18th. The labor and delivery went smoothly and Knox arrived as a healthy, perfect baby boy. In fact, that was his name until the next day when we finally decided on his name.
Ryan took Carter to school Wednesday morning and they stopped by the hospital on the way. Carter was excited, but reserved.
Kiki brought Cannon by after school. He was excited too. Much more hands on.
Hands on at home too :)
More to come. I have lots of catching up to do....
Sleep, blogging, but mostly enjoying all of the sweet boys in the house.

Mrs. Dana's Music Class
Our boys love going to music class. They have the opportunity to sing, dance, learn about music and play a variety of instruments. One of the violin instructors brought up a special violin that each of her children played.
Cannon took quite a liking to this little violin.

A sweet trip to the toy store
Yesterday we made a trip to the toy store in the big city. I must say, I was impressed that the boys behaved so nicely. No "galloping greedy gimmies" like the Bearinsteen Bears book would say.
Even better was capturing a few moments of sweetness between big and little brother.

1 down!
Carter lost his first tooth! He rushed out of school Tuesday afternoon to share the news.
Apparently, the apple at lunch did the trick.

5 golden dollars were left in exchange for the tooth. His second bottom tooth is soon to follow. No toothless, gummy smiles though, the permanent teeth are about 2/3 of the way in!
