6:30 am. First morning of Christmas Break

Apparently they didn't get the, "it's ok to sleep in" memo.

Cannon was wearing his propellor hat and had brought me a stack of Christmas books to read.

Me. I was still in bed. It was 6:30 in the morning on the first morning of Christmas break. Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Mrs. Dana's Music Class

Our boys love going to music class. They have the opportunity to sing, dance, learn about music and play a variety of instruments. One of the violin instructors brought up a special violin that each of her children played.

Cannon took quite a liking to this little violin.

A sweet trip to the toy store

Yesterday we made a trip to the toy store in the big city.  I must say, I was impressed that the boys behaved so nicely.  No "galloping greedy gimmies" like the Bearinsteen Bears book would say.

Even better was capturing a few moments of sweetness between big and little brother.

1 down!

Carter lost his first tooth! He rushed out of school Tuesday afternoon to share the news.

Apparently, the apple at lunch did the trick.

5 golden dollars were left in exchange for the tooth. His second bottom tooth is soon to follow. No toothless, gummy smiles though, the permanent teeth are about 2/3 of the way in!

You are my sunshine, even though you are a grumpy sun.

Carter was serenading the "sun."
I realized after watching the video that Cannon was actually speaking for the "sun."

Dove Hunting...

Carter was so excited to go Dove Hunting with his Dad.

He got himself dressed, all the way down to the camo belt.

How did they do?

Watch and see.

Cabelas

Carter drew the picture below at school the other day. It's of the Cabelas shooting gallery.

The bottom right is the actual shooting gallery with the targets.

The two circles in the middle...
"Mom, you know when they cut animals heads off and stick them
on the wall? Well, that's what those are."

Ok.

Carters response to us having a third boy: "Oh good! Now we get to go to Cabelas even more!!"

The talk of the town

It's the new watermark in Pampa and it's been the talk of the town and the Morris family (particularly Carter) for quite some time.

Carter's favorite summer activity...so far

Notice the picture was not of him getting his tonsils removed...but he is holding an ice cream cone.

Batman must rest too...

Carter is sleeping soundly and apnea-free since his tonsils and adenoids were removed last Friday. He's so quiet when he sleeps now!

Air Show

Here are a few pictures from the Air Show...they are a few months old, but I'm a few months behind.

They were warming up the planes.  Carter was determined to wait for them to take off...

Cannon loves "hair-planes."   The blinding sun and watery eyes were well worth it to spot the hairplanes.

Another highlight.  Carter, often hesitant at first to try something new, had no qualms about trying out this adventure.

Carter sat below this airplane for a while.  I think he was memorizing every part.

Carter did not want to get in this.  Cannon, however, loved it.  Guns, buttons, levers, fun.

Sandbox till sunset

Normally the boys are in the bath by now. But it's not a school night...

The weather is beautiful...

And the boys are so focused they aren't even aware I'm taking pictures of them.
